Plenty of Australian Pelican were ever present, floating regally on the river day and night, or soaring to great heights above.

Tall eucalypts along the river banks provide ample nesting spots. Whistling Kite were feeding young in their nest.

Yellow Rosella found ample food and cover. This dire warning did not appear to deter some locals from finding ready mouths for bread scraps.
